Todd Cairns, 60, Silver Lake, formerly of Greenleaf, died, Monday, October 24, 2022 at Topeka, KS. Visitation will be Friday, October 28 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 29 at the Washington Christian Church. Burial will be in Greenleaf City Cemetery. Todd was born to Stanley and Myrna (Lupher) Cairns on February 20, 1962 in Washington, KS. He attended grade school in Barnes, High School in Linn, and NCKA tech in Beloit graduating in 1980. On April 4, 1981, Todd was united in marriage to Debby Phelps at the Washington Christian Church. They moved to Texas for several years and in 1988 returned to Kansas and lived in Silver Lake. They have three children Alyssa, Ashlee and Austin. After his career with Laird Noller Ford he owned and operated Cairns Window and Siding until health no longer allowed. In his last years he enjoyed working at Fox Liquor. Todd enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, water skiing, riding dirt bikes and camping. Anything outdoors. He enjoyed family and especially being a “papa” to his grandchildren Jaycee, Trey, and Aaliyah. Survivors include his wife, Debby; parents, Stanley and Myrna Cairns, Greenleaf; daughters, Alyssa Cairns, Silver Lake, Ashlee (James) King, Marysville; and son, Austin Cairns, Silver Lake; siblings, Jon (Susan) Cairns, Greenleaf, Staci (Todd) Wise, Michael Cairns, and Nikki (Dave) Alvord, all of Omaha, NE; and three grandchildren Jaycee, Trey, and Aaliyah King. Preceding him in death was a sister, Kelli Lynn Cairns; and grandparents Melvin and Huldah Cairns and Kelly and Irma Lupher, Greenleaf. A memorial fund has been established and is designated for medical and final expenses. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
