Ronnie Jorgenson, 81, Barnes, died Monday, February 10, 2025 at Blue Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Blue Rapids.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington, KS.
A graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 14 at Maplewood Cemetery at Barnes. Rev. Shannon Borgman will officiate.
Ronnie was born on June 2, 1943, to Sidney and Wilhelmina “Wilma” (Boeschling) Jorgenson in rural Washington Co., KS. He attended high school in Greenleaf, KS.
On July 21, 1962, Ronnie was united in marriage to Bertha A. Hoffman. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter, Wesley, Sidney, and Janet.
Throughout his life, Ronnie has lived in many different states and has had many jobs. He liked to travel, meet new people, play the guitar, camp, fish, and spend time with family.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha of the home; children, Janet E. (Corey) Shavez, Wesley W., and Sidney R. (Christina) Jorgenson; six grandchildren, Anthony Cagle, Cherokee Cagle, Wesley D. Jorgenson, Wyatt Jorgenson, Taylor Jorgenson, and Liam Jorgenson; ten great-grandchildren, Aiden Cagle, Ily Cagle, Eli Cagle, Ein Cagle, Kayson Lennard, Madison Lennard, Jaxon Lennard, Bryson Jorgenson, Payslie Jorgenson, and Zaden Jorgenson; two brothers, Gilbert Jorgenson, Greenleaf, and Wilbur Jorgenson, Livermore, CA.; two sisters, Carolyn Gray, Manhattan, and Linda Ritter, Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund is established in his name and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
