Paul was born April 4, 1944, in Odell, Neb., to George and Eleanora (Swoboda) Jueneman.  He attended St. John’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Hanover High School in 1962.   On Aug. 29, 1970, he married Dolores Claeys, and together, they had four children.

Paul began farming as a junior in high school on land east of Hanover, while spending his winters after graduation working for Reinke Construction and Rock Island Railroad.  Following their marriage, Paul and Dolores established a family farming business and cow/calf operation north of Washington.  Paul loved farming and was committed to the conservation of the land, often running his own dozer to improve it. He had an incredible work ethic, passing it on to their children, as well as mentoring and encouraging his sons as they joined the family farming operation.

Paul actively supported his community, serving on the St. John’s school board, the Hanover Co-op Board, and the Franklin Township Board. He also was a long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus.  Paul was a generous and passionate advocate for Catholic schools and pro-life causes.  He also proudly supported the conservative values represented by his country and its constitution. He enjoyed traveling all over the United States, especially to Alaska; Hawaii; Branson, Mo.; and Colorado.  Paul’s grandkids were his pride and joy, and he relished spending time with them, giving them rides in the tractors and the Ranger, skeet shooting, hunting and fishing.

Paul is survived by his wife, Dolores; children Christina (Kevin) Bousquet, Lincoln, Neb., Michael (Elaine) Jueneman, Washington, Kan., Rebecca (Richard) Johnson, Katy, Texas, and David (Laramie) Jueneman, Washington, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson. He also is survived by his brothers Leo Jueneman, John (Barbara) Jueneman, and George (Kathy) Jueneman; sisters Charlene (Dave) Behrens and Mary Jueneman; sisters-in-law DeAnna Jueneman and Alice Jueneman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers Orval Jueneman, James Jueneman, Robert Jueneman, and Wilbur Jueneman; sister Barbara Ramos; brother-in-law Richard Ramos; and sisters-in-law Ellie Jueneman and Loretta Jueneman.

The funeral mass will be livestreamed on the Ward Funeral Home Facebook page. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, 115 W. 2nd St., Washington, KS, 66968.
