Patricia Josephine (Hogan) Klozenbucher, 83, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the Linn Community Nursing Home. Visitation for Patricia will be Wednesday, December 1, from 1- 6 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington followed by a Vigil service at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, December 2, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Washington. Father Joseph Kieffer will officiate. Gina Miller is organist and the congregation will sing "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace," "On Eagles Wings," "Here I Am Lord" and "Song of Farewell." Pallbearers are Harold Hogan, Nicholas Wilson, Guy Wilson, Dwann Seacat, Brian Seacat and Colin Seacat. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Kimeo Pat was born July 31, 1938, in Kimeo, Kansas, to Austin James and Mary Louise (Hoover) Hogan. She attended Spence School and Greenleaf High School. She married Duane Klozenbucher on October 4, 1958 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kimeo, KS. They were the parents of four children and farmed in the Kimeo Community. Pat was active in St. Michael’s Catholic Church. After the church closed, she was instrumental in St. Michaels of Kimeo Inc. which works to preserve the church. She also enjoyed working with 4-H youth teaching cooking and sewing classes. She loved baking bread, quilting and working the election polls. Survivors include sons, James (Rita) and Thomas of Greenleaf; daughters Karen (Guy Wilson) Klozenbucher, Chardon, OH and Marian (Dwann) Seacat, Bucklin, KS; grandchildren, Nicholas and Allison Wilson, Brian (Chelsie Schoendaller) Seacat and Wyatt, Hays, Colin Seacat, Bucklin and Jennifer Cass, Washington. Siblings Margaret (Edward) Boyd, Mesa, AZ, Lawrence (Sally) Hogan, Hendersonville, NC, Virginia (Thomas) Sekinger, Annandale, VA, Robert (Pamela) Hogan, Hendersonville, NC, Harold (Ginger) Hogan, Topeka, and James Hogan, Greenleaf, sisters-in-law, Clara Mortenson, Manhattan; and Rosemary Klozenbucher, Greenleaf. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sisters, Ruth Marie and Mary Louise “Lu”. A memorial fund has been established to St. Michael's Cemetery Fund.
