Martin Weber, 86, Barnes, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn, KS.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, at Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, KS.
Martin was born in Seneca, KS on January 29, 1938 to Carl and Anna (Kuhling) Weber. He grew up on a farm in Nemaha County, KS. After high school, he joined the Army and was honorably discharged in 1961.
He worked for Nemaha County and Washington County and then started Marty’s Jack Repair in Greenleaf, which he ran for several years.
Martin belonged to the Barnes United Methodist Church, the NRA and North Central Kansas Rock and Gem Club. He loved family gatherings, hunting, fishing and gardening. He would can the produce from his garden. Family was important to him and he loved them all and his dogs. Martin always wore bib overalls.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary; daughter, Beatrice; son, Marty; and brother Paul.
Survivors include children, Angela Weber, Salina, Tom Weber, Greenleaf; siblings, Mary Ann Enquist and Claude Weber; and nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
