Marilyn E. Bargman, 92, Palmer, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, KS.
Visitation was held Sunday, December 29 from 3 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 30, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Ronald Hamm officiating. Sharon Heitman was the organist and the hymns included "Just As I Am," "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," "It is Well With My Soul" and "Joy to the World."
Pallbearers were Thad Wiemers, Kellen Bargman, Keaton Bargman, Kyle Bargman, Rustin Bolejack and Matt Koch.
Burial was in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Palmer.
Marilyn was born December 7, 1932, on the family farm west of Palmer, to Bill and Katie (Wilgers) Petersen. She was baptized on December 18, 1932, at home by Rev. Henry Kolm and was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer by Rev. Adolph Rink on April 14, 1946. She was a lifelong member of this church.
She attended Woody School for grades 1-3 and Spring Creek School for grades 4-8. In 1950, she graduated from Linn Rural High School.
Marilyn was united in marriage on March 25, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church to Lyle Bargman. They were blessed with four children, Karen, Keith, Kurtis and Kent.
She loved to study family genealogy, raise flowers, feed birds and loved her cats, chickens and peacocks. Marilyn spent her whole life in the Palmer community.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Lyle in 2004; sister-in-law and husband, Darlene and Ross Savage, brother-in-law, Virgil Bargman and wife Audene and brother-in-law, Gerald Meeker.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Delwin) Wiemers, Keith (Kim) Bargman, Kurtis (Dawn) Bargman and Kent Bargman; sister-in-law, Evelyn Meeker; and grandchildren, April, Thad, Karalee, Kellen, Kinsley, Keaton, Kristin, Katie, Kendra, Rustin, Danielle, Megan, Kyle, Mykenna and Skyler; and great grandchildren, Hayden and Reagan Bruna, Brody Applegarth, Braylin, Hadlea, Adalynn and Novella Safford, Kolbie and William Allerheiligen, Kaydence, Karleigh, Kenton and Kaleb Throm, Kenadi, Korben, Konner and Kairie Lamb, Kyle Jr., Kaitlyn and Kolt Bargman and Rylan, Eilis and Isaac Bolejack.
