Marcile H. Beikmann, 88, Linn, died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Linn Community Nursing Home. Visitation is Friday, January 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Linn, Kansas Immediate Family Private Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, The service will be live streamed on Ward Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Linn, Kansas March 8, 1932, is the day the Lord blessed Albert and Hilda (Krenzel) Damman of Palmer, Kansas with the gift of a daughter, Marcile Hilda Damman. Marcile held a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was received as a member in his redeemed family through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on March 13, 1932. The Rev. Paul Stolp of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Linn, Kansas officiated. Marcile confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in the rite of confirmation on April 14, 1946, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Linn, KS under Rev O.H. Praeuner. On May 22, 1946, she graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School. After graduation, she worked on the family farm getting up early in the morning to milk cows and take care of the chickens. She worked in the Clay Center area as a nanny and housekeeper to several prominent families. She often times reminisced about the special bond she had with these families. She was united in marriage to Delbert A Beikmann on May 25, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Linn. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Patricia and Karen and two sons, Wayne and Kevin. While Delbert was in the Navy, they lived in San Diego, CA, until he was honorably discharged. They returned to Kansas and made their home in Linn. Marcile was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker until her children were all in school. During her working career, she worked at the Linn Community Nursing Home and was manager of the Linn American Legion for over 18 years. Marcile was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Linn, Kansas, where she was a member of the LWML. She was also a member of the Wholmoor American Legion Auxiliary. Marcile loved her family and was happiest when everyone was together. She was an avid gardener, growing vegetables and flowers that she loved to share with others. If she were sitting in her chair, you would always find her working on her next crochet or quilt project, with her beloved dog or cat beside her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert of 58 years; her parents; and brother, Jerald Damman. Marcile is survived by her children, Patricia (Brad) Seabourn, Olsburg, Kansas, Wayne (Barbara) Beikmann, Bixby, OK, Karen (Larry) Schmale, Linn and Kevin Beikmann, Linn; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maydean Dittmer, Linn, Leola “JoAnn” (Dennis) Grimm, Evansville, IN; and two sister-in-laws, Dorothy (Lowell) Mueller, Lowell of Garden City and Verna Beikmann of Linn. A memorial fund is established to The Lutheran Hour, Linn Community Nursing Home or Zion Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington. Marcile H.
