Marcia A. Hubbard, 70, Washington, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the Washington County Hospital. Visitation is Monday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service is 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Washington. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. On August 7, 1949, Marcia was born in Concordia to Lyle and Melina (Letourneau) Walker. She graduated Notre Dame High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Max Hubbard at Belleville on September 1, 1967. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Washington. Marcia was the sports reporter for many years for the Washington County News. She loved sports and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events. Marcia coached girls’ softball for several years and would umpire games. She enjoyed reading, going to the casino and spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Max in 2001; brother, Richard Walker; and great grandson, Cooper Hubbard. Survivors include her children, Randy (Helen) Hubbard, Kimberly Irwin both of Washington; five grandchildren, Brandon (Jancee) Hubbard, Washington, Brittany (Jordan Boston) Hubbard, Lincoln, NE, Brogan Hubbard, Topeka, Brayden (Ashley Davis) Hubbard, Topeka, Emily (Drayton) Riekenberg, Olathe, and four great grandchildren, Harper Kay Hubbard, Kennedy Mae Riekenberg, Maverick Lyle Hubbard and Baker Jay Riekenberg.
