Keith Lynn Zabokrtsky, 68, Washington, KS, died Friday, December 27, 2024 at UNMC in Omaha, NE.

FUNERAL SERVICES ARE PENDING

Keith was born on August 26, 1956 in Washington to Elmer and Betty (Baker) Zabokrtsky. After growing up in Washington, Keith graduated from Washington High School and Beloit VoTech, specializing in electricity. After graduation, Keith returned to Washington where he married his high school sweetheart, Deb Wilson. On January 8. 1983, they eloped to Chandler, OK.

Keith and Deb enjoyed boating and camping with their three children, Sarah, Pam and Kyle. When Keith wasn’t working in the hardware store or spending time with family, he volunteered with the fire department and was an EMT. He was a member of the Washington County Saddle Club and loved animals, he was especially talented at training dogs.

He was fortunate to be surrounded by family during his professional career in the hardward store, working with his parents, uncle, cousins, nephews, wife, children and his grandson as well.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Betty; and sister, Karen Price.

Survivors include his wife, Deb; daughters, Sarah Zabokrtsky, Greenleaf, Pamela (Chance) Mitchell, Manhattan; son, Kyle Zabokrtsky, Greenleaf; and grandson, Jaxon Zabokrtsky; father, Elmer Zabokrtsky; sister, Peggy (Mark) Chapin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial fund is established in his name and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
