Keith Glenn Ayres

Keith Glenn Ayres, 74, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at his home in Greenleaf. Visitation will be Friday, February 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home in Greenleaf. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, at the Greenleaf City Cemetery where Pastor Dan Norwood will officiate. Keith was born November 28, 1946 in Hastings, NE, to Glenn and Viola Mildred (Hohfeld) Ayres. In 1964, Keith graduated from Greenleaf High School. May 28, 1977, he married Karen Clark of Kansas City. They had one daughter, Kaitlin Munstermann and 3 grandchildren, Danielle, Dawson and Daliani. Keith was a farmer and diesel mechanic. He operated his own mechanic shop, Ayres Garage, where he worked on farm equipment and diesels. He enjoyed his time taking his dogs on walks in the feedlot and cruises through the neighborhood and country. Keith enjoyed stopping by friends to have a chat. He collected antiques ranging from Allis Chalmers, International Harvester, and Farmall. He liked to keep himself busy with his farming. A memorial fund has been established to Dogs for the Deaf.
