Karen L. Ricky

Karen L. Ricky, 73, died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Washington County Hospital, Washington. Visitation will be Monday, May 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, at Ward Funeral Home, Washington. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Karen was born October 20, 1948 at Hanover to William and Anna (Jasch) Holle. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Bremen where she attended school. Karen was an active member of the Tabernacle Church of Belleville, where she resided at Belleville Health Care Center. Karen worked as a waitress in the food service industry. Later in life she was united in marriage to Jack Ricky. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Darlene Longshore, Elda Friedrichs; brothers, Arlan Holle and Delmer Holle; and brother-in-law; Leonard Friedrichs. Survivors include brother, Elvin (Shirley) Holle, Bremen; brother-in-law, Paul Longshore, Salisbury, MD; sisters-in-law, Darlene Holle, Judy Holle both of Hanover; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial fund is established to be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
