Joyce Marie Voelker

Joyce Marie Voelker, 60, of Linn, KS, died April 18, 2020 at Clay Center, KS. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 22 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery near Palmer, KS. Rev. Joshua Hayes will officiate. Due to the “Stay-at-Home” mandate a public memorial service will be announced later. For those who cannot attend please sign Joyce’s online guestbook and leave a condolence. Joyce was born September 5, 1959 at Clay Center, KS, to Elmer W. and Helen (Moddelmog) Voelker. She grew up in the Linn and Palmer communities. She worked many different jobs at Twin Valley Developmental Services in Greenleaf. Joyce always remembered everyone’s birthdays and enjoyed celebrating them. Getting together with family, eating ice cream and having a Diet Pepsi on Sunday were some of her favorite things to do. She was preceded in death by her parents and two nieces, Tammy and Bethany Voelker. Survivors include her brothers, Robert (Linda) Voelker, Salisbury, NC, Richard (Charlotte) Voelker, Palmer, Howard (Mary) Voelker, West Point, NE, and Gary (Debbie) Voelker, Linn; and nieces and nephews, Jeff (Kelly) Voelker, Mark Voelker, Kurtis (Ashley) Voelker, Cheri (Paul) Barrett, John Voelker, Jennifer (Brian) Linton, James (Kelly) Voelker, Shawna (Keith) Spiehs, Melissa (Tony) Wragge and Cristi (Jason) Black.
