Henry Lee Craig

Henry Lee Craig, 44, died Thursday, November 9, 2022 at the Washington County Hospital in Washington. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17 from noon until 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 18 at the Washington Christian Church with Rev. Jim Stark officiating. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Henry was born in Higginson, AR on November 26, 1977 to Donnie Lee and Nina Marie (Southard) Craig. He grew up in Arkansas and Texas, graduating from high school in Texas. Henry attended college in Bottineau, ND. Henry married Andrea Beaver and they had a son Gentry. They later divorced. On June 25, 2022, he was united in marriage to Heather Goodwin Almendarez. Henry worked at Landolls, KDOT, City of Linn and drove a truck for TC Trucking. Riding Harley’s was a great love of his along with fishing, hunting and working on old cars. He was a collector of many things. He was the professional driver and chauffer for Black Friday shopping and attending ballgames. Preceding him in death were two nieces, Cheyenne Kellogg and Aleena Heberlein; and good friend, Billy Stonebarger. Survivors include his parents, Donnie and Nina Craig, Freeport, TX; wife, Heather; son, Gentry Craig, Rugby, ND; daughters, Torie (Jaden Baxa) Williams, Concordia, Alyssa Almendarez and Natalya Almendarez, both of Washington; brother, Johnnie (Glynis) Craig, Angelton, TX; and sister, Becky Craig, Freeport, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
