Harold A. Nutsch, 89, of Morrowville, Kan., died Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Washington County Hospital. Visitation was Monday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family received friends 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Rev. Ron Brown officiated. Sheila Ouellette played the organ while Reed Wilson sang “Just as I Am”. The pallbearers were be Chad Wurtz, Jerin Wurtz, Ryan Hynek, Mark Tiemeyer, Gerry Frager and Russ Slater. The honorary pallbearers were Eric Wilson, Laura Gray, Ramsey Jaber, Hana Jaber, Jamison Dingler and Tucker Dingler. Burial was in the Morrowville Cemetery, Morrowville, Kan. Harold was born November 22, 1929 in Morrowville to Albert and Gertrude (Krischke) Nutsch. In 1948, he graduated from Morrowville High School. He was a member of the Kansas National Guard. Harold had a crop and livestock partnership with his brother, Ed. He farmed until the age of 83. Harold was a member of the North Central School Board for 20 years and was an active member of Lions Club. He volunteered on the local fire department and was an avid Kansas State University fan, having season tickets to the football games until he was 87. Survivors include wife of 57 years, Winifred (Dodds); children, Carol (Khalil) Jaber, Lincoln, Neb., Christine (Reed) Wilson, Clyde, Kan., and Jean (Todd) Dingler, Hutchinson, Kan.; brother, Chuck (Arlyss) Nutsch, Sedalia, Mo.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gertrude Nutsch; sister, Helen Oliver; and brothers, Ed Nutsch and Francis Nutsch. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later.
