Gregory "Greg" L. Brungardt

Gregory Lynn Brungardt, 66, Washington, died at his home March 22, 2021. Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m., at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 27 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Washington. A private family burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Greenleaf. Greg was born November 11, 1954 to Alvin and Marilyn (Talbot) Brungardt at Riverside, CA. He grew up in Washington and in 1973, graduated from Washington High School. He attended Cloud County Community College and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Latin American History from K-State. Greg worked at Kiers Thriftway in Washington for over thirty years. He made many friends with the customers and co-workers, thru the years. He was a fan of the Jayhawks, Green Bay Packers and collected military history. He liked tasting different types of beer and lagers. Preceding him in death was his father, Alvin in 2017; and nephew, Barrett Singular in 2002. Survivors include his mother, Marilyn Brungardt; brother, Mark Brungardt, Manhattan; sister, Jeanette (Kent) Singular, Linn; nephew, Andrew Singular; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
