Elaine G. Greenwood, 46, Washington, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Washington County Hospital, Washington.The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, November 4 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington.A funeral service was held 10 a.m., Monday, November 5 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington. Pastor Judy Hill officiated. Organist was Sheila Ouellette and the congregation sang “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.” Honorary pallbearers were Betty Reith and Dale Bruna. Burial was in Washington City Cemetery. Elaine was born in Marysville on June 9, 1972 to Mike and Grace (Dusin) Bruna. She grew up in Hanover and graduated Hanover High School in 1991. On June 8, 1991, she was united in marriage to David Greenwood at the Morrowville Christian Church. Elaine was a caring, thoughtful person. She took care of the elderly by running errands, cleaning their homes and taking them to doctor appointments. Doing what was needed. For a few years, she was the secretary for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Elaine was involved in her community. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, scrapbooking, gardening, and raising flowers.Survivors include her husband, David Greenwood; parents, Mike and Grace Bruna, Hanover; son, Jacob Greenwood, Marysville; daughters, Victoria Greenwood, Marysville and Hope Greenwood, Washington; brother, Keith Bruna, Hanover; mother-in-law, Darlene Greenwood, Washington; and three grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her grandparents; and sister, Brenda Berg in 2006.A memorial fund is established and will be designated later.
