Dorothy L. Potts

Dorothy Lorene Potts, 89, died at Sunrise Assisted Living in Surprise, AZ on June 8, 2021. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Dorothy was born on March 5, 1932, in Alliance, NE to Guy and Edith (Lobaugh) Fletcher. She grew up and attended school in Washington, graduating in 1950. On June 11, 1950, she married Marvin E. Potts. They were married for 60 years at his death in 2011. The couple moved to Belleville in 1966 and returned to Washington after their retirement. Dorothy moved to West Warwick, RI in 2015 and finally to Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; brothers, Robert Fletcher and Richard Fletcher; sister, Marjorie Breitling; infant daughter, Brenda Joyce Potts; and son, John William Potts. Survivors include daughter, Cyndi (George) Desrochers, Peoria, AZ; daughter-in-law, Janelle Dilday, Buckner, MO; grandchildren, Ryan (Casey) Desrochers, Erin (Joe) D'Agostino, Kaycie Potts; step-grandchildren, Krystal Morgan, Michael Dilday; great granddaughter, Caelyn Desrochers and step great grandchildren, Kamryn Williams, Joey Dilday and Hunter Dilday.
