Bonnie was born September 9, 1931 in Lincoln, NE to Walter and Bertha (Sedam) Nutz, the oldest of twelve children. She graduated from Reynolds High School in Reynolds, NE. After graduation, Bonnie worked as a waitress and attended several semesters of college. Her love for teaching others was shown by assisting with Vacation Bible School, 4-H, Cub Scouts and having a home daycare. For many years, she was a Stanley dealer. She finished her working years at Swingsters in Fairbury, NE and MC Products in Belleville, KS.

Spending time with family has always been very important to her, especially the numerous trips, whether long or short, taken with her brothers and sisters. She also enjoyed her collection of older dishes, Angels, salt and pepper shakers, dolls and you name it, she probably had a large number of it.

On April 18, 1954, she was united in marriage to Basil Elliott in Washington, KS. To this union three children were born, Rose, Lyle and Sue. Basil and Bonnie made their home in Morrowville. She sold the home in June of 2014 to move to Hebron, to be closer to family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Basil; son, Lyle; and siblings, Edward, Lawrence, David, Jerry, Mabel, Ruth and Patty.

Survivors include daughters, Rose (Melvin) Jantz, Norfolk, NE, Sue (Gary) McGhghy, Hebron, NE; daughter-in-law, Mary Elliott, Belleville; and grandchildren, Tia (Trey) Collins, Brent (Melissa) Jantz, Seth Jantz, Larz (Jessica) Elliott, Tom (Amber) McGhghy, Andy McGhghy, Tamika (Cody Braaten) Nutsch, Kaylie (Muhammad) Saifee, and Kaden Elliott; great grandchildren, Faith, Sam, Caryn, Kayla and Jay Collins, Aiden Hamilton, Quinley and Hudson Jantz, Hayzen, Hadlee and Harper Elliott, Garren Nutsch, Jay, Ethan and Gabriel McGhghy; and siblings, Wanda Henderson, Linda Falk, Wayne Nutz and Le Ila Zenger; and several nieces nephews and friends.

A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, P.O. Box 157, Washington, KS 66968.
