Betty L. “Kit” Miller, 92, Washington, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Washington County Hospital. A private burial took place. Kit was born January 11, 1930 to Claire and Goldie (Burget) Noyes at Ft. Sill, OK. An exciting moment in Betty's career happened as a senior at Little Rock High School, when Betty was the only woman journalist and the ONLY one in her journalism class to interview President Dwight D Eisenhower. Not only did she interview the President; but got a photo of both of them and a signed autograph. On February 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Bruce V. Miller in Little Rock, AR. They moved to Sheldon, IA where their two children were born, Gail and Gene. In 1960 the family moved to Washington where they owned and operated Miller’s Flowers and Greenhouse. When they retired in 1993, they spent their summers in the mountains of Wyoming, becoming Camp Hosts with the U.S. Forest Service. They resided at Pine Campground until 1998. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce; son, Gene Miller; and brothers, Charles Noyes and John Noyes. Survivors include daughter, Gail M. Cox. Tucson, AZ; grandson, Edward Cox; granddaughter, Katie Cox all of Tucson; brother, Thomas Noyes; sister, Gloria Willyard; and great grandson, Dylan Cox.
