Alice L. Stanton

Alice L. Stanton, 86, of Morrowville, KS, died February 7, 2021 at Gardenside Long-Term Care in Fairbury, NE. Private family services are pending with burial in the Morrowville Cemetery. Alice was born March 1, 1934 at Tribune, KS, to Wayne and Elizabeth (Rutz) Palmer. At the age of 5, her family moved to Washington, KS. Alice attended and graduated from Washington High School in 1952. On May 22, 1952, Alice married Robert Stanton. After their marriage, Alice and Robert lived in San Antonio, TX, where Robert was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. They eventually moved home to Morrowville. Alice and Robert had three children, son, James (Debbie) Stanton, and daughters, Lynn (Robert) Allen and Jennifer (Bob) Nutsch. Alice enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially loved to play bingo and occasionally visited the casino. She was the Postmaster in Morrowville until retiring. After retiring, Alice and Robert spent their time traveling and spent the winter months at their home in Yuma, AZ. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, James; and sister-in-law, Nyla (Bruce) Stanton. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn (Robert) Allen, Haddam, and Jennifer (Robert) Nutsch, Morrowville; daughter-in-law, Debbie Stanton, Morrowville; grandchildren, Eric Stanton, Tina (James Moore) Fischer, Brent (Brittany) Stanton, Cody Stanton, Chandra (Daniel) Schwab, Heath (Stacey) Allen, Brooke Allen Yarrow, Jessica Nutsch and Max Nutsch; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Daryl (Nina) Palmer; brother-in-law, Bruce Stanton; a niece and nephews; and many other friends and relatives.
