Alberta P. Welch 83, Washington, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, KS. Visitation is Friday, March 20, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home, Washington. A funeral service will be private. Burial will be in Washington City Cemetery. Alberta was born on May 16, 1936 to Clyde and Mae (Coy) Corbin at Steele City, NE. On October 8, 1953, she married Erwin Keith Welch at Enosdale. They were blessed with three children, Donald, Cynthia and Jill. Alberta worked as a secretary for Kastl-Powell Insurance agency for several years and for Millers Flowers. She enjoyed her daily visits with friends over coffee, camping and making crafts. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s many activities. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Donald Welch; son-in-law, Ronald Clay; brother, Billy Corbin; and granddaughter, Katie Welch. Survivors include her husband, Keith; daughters, Cindi Clay, Hollenberg, Jill (Jerry) Hoover, Washington; brother, Keith Corbin, Fairbury, NE; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
