Anna Agnes Edgar, 86, Washington, died Tuesday, December 26th, 2006. She was born August 27th, 1920 in Washington, the daughter of Joe and Anna Slama. She retired after 31 years of devoted service to U.S.D. 222-Washington as a school cook. She was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Washington. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a grandmother to all of her grandchildren’s friends and welcomed each and everyone one of them with open arms. Ann was united in marriage to Allen L. Edgar on August 5th 1942 at Trinity Lutheran Church Greenleaf, KS. She is survived by husband, Allen; two children, Larry Edgar, Greenleaf, Lonnie Edgar, Washington; five grandchildren, Gary Edgar, Washington, Todd Edgar, Greenleaf, Sheila Bolejack Washington, Sharon Martin and Sarah Leahew, Eudora; and 15 great grandchildren. Family will greet friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, December 29th, at Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS. Funeral service will be at 10:00am at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Washington, KS. Memorial contributions can be made to Kansas State School for the Deaf, in honor of her granddaughter, Sarah Leahew, a 1994 graduate.
