Olga L. Lindhorst

LINN-Olga Lyla Lindhorst, 88, Linn, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Clay County Medical Center. Olga was born September 10, 1918 at Linn to John William and Frieda (Tewes) Uffman. She was a homemaker and worked in housekeeping at the Manhattan Hospital. Olga was united in marriage to Adolph Lindhorst on September 10, 1939 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Linn. They had two children, Eldon and Hazel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; her parents; daughter, Hazel Colby; brothers, Paul Uffman, Clarence Uffman, and infant brother Willie Uffman; sisters, Ella Lohmeyer, and infant sister Elsie. Olga is survived by son, Eldon and wife Karen, Loveland, CO; sister, Freda Bosse, Emporia; brother, Edgar Uffman, Linn; 8 grandchildren, (5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters), 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral service for Olga was held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Linn on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 10:30 am. Pastor David Gruoner officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Delmar Uffman, Gene Bosse, Leland Lohmeyer, Jerry Weise, Loren Mueller and Brad Jones. Honorary casket bearers were, Jerry Strunk, Jason Uffman, Stanton Uffman, Dallas Uffman and Victor Stohs. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Ward Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
