Kenneth L. Wohlbrandt

Kenneth Wohlbrandt, 74, Washington, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006. He was born November 2, 1931 at Hollenberg to Clarence and Hilda (Luhring) Wohlbrandt. Kenneth was a linotype operator for the Hanover Newspaper, a member of the American Legion and the VFW. On January 15, 1961 he was united in marriage to Joyce Mahlman at the United Methodist Church, Washington. Joyce survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Nyla Skinner and husband Tom, Scandia; a son Rex Wohlbrandt, Washington; two grandsons, Tim Skinner and Zachary Wohlbrandt; and a sister, Nancy Jackson, Topeka. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; son Bradford Wohlbrandt; daughter, Denise Wohlbrandt; grandson, Tommie Skinner; and brother Keith Wohlbrandt. The funeral service for Kenneth was held at the Ward Funeral Home, Washington, at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 4, 2006. Dr. Rex Fuller officiated. Burial was in the Hollenberg City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Brian Piersee, Travis Rieth, Bob Dusin, Gary Dusin, Stanford Stamm and Mike Minge. A memorial fund was established in his name to be designated by the family at a later time.
