Mary M. Miller

Mary M. Miller Mary Miller, 103, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Homestead Nursing Home, Washington. She was born on July 15, 1903 at Morrowville, to Frank and Magdalene (Hellman) Koch. Mary was a member of St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church, Altar Society, Quilting Club and the Ladies Card Group. Mary was united in marriage to Joseph J. Miller on January 23, 1923 at St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church, Morrowville. They were blessed with three children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on December 18, 2006; daughters, Joanne Kuhlmann, Elvera Wittmus; brothers, Ernest and Francis Koch; sister, Elizabeth Sawyer, a grandson and great great grandchild. She is survived by son, Lester Miller; sister Rose Portwood, Fairbury, NE; son in law, Rolland Kuhlmann, Canon City, Co; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren. Funeral service for Mary was held, Monday, October 30, 2006 at St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church, Morrowville. Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Casketbearers were Fred Miller, Tim Miller, Ron Wittms, Roger Wittmus, Marlon Kuhlman, Grant Kuhlman, and Evan Kuhlman.
