Jackson Lee Logan, 26, died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Washington, KS. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 23 under the covered tabernacle in Chautauqua Park at Beatrice, Neb. Casual dress is requested. Pastor John Frey will officate. Nicole Chandler will sing "The Dance”. The honorary pallbearers will be Jake Lampe, Shawn Parrott, Shane Fort, A.J. Billesbach, Mike Fulton, Chris Pinkerton, David Barton, Dillon Hofeling, Andrew White and Chad Houseman. Jackson was born January 23, 1984 at Beatrice, NE, son of John and Jann (Van Winkle) Logan. He was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Burchard, NE. On May 11, 1997 he was confirmed at Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice. Jackson attended school at Beatrice and worked for Van Winkle Masonry, where his grandfather and uncles taught him the trade. When he moved to Washington he worked for Stamm Masonry. He enjoyed music, drawing, spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family especially his niece and nephew. His father, John Logan, and grandparents, Pat and Jack Logan, preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Jann Jensen and husband Dick; one sister, Jeri Fulton and special friend Michael Chandler; niece and nephew, Emma Fulton and Konner Chandler, all of Washington; grandparents, Richard and Doris Van Winkle, Beatrice; uncles and aunts, Brett Van Winkle, Jeff Van Winkle, Beth Van Winkle and husband Rob Messing, Jami White and husband Rick, Jacque Creamer; two step-sisters, Cassie Grim and husband Dave, Colorado Springs, CO, Emily Larson and husband Tony, Washington; two step-brothers, Nathan Jensen and wife Jackie, Marysville, KS, Curtis Jensen and wife Katie, Los Angeles, CA; and cousins. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, 115 W 2nd, Washington, KS 66968.
