Mrs. Florence Josephine Pickett, 95 of Cleveland, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. A funeral mass was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greenleaf. Father David Metz officiated. Marie Hoover was the organist. Burial was in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Kimeo. Mrs. Pickett was born on February 01, 1915 to the late Johanna Burke and Martin Hoover. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Pickett; sons, Donald and Marion Pickett; grandson, Steven Lucero; sisters, Viola and Marcelline; brothers, Leonard and Lawrence. Survivors include two sons, Leroy Pickett and wife Pat, Flowery Branch, GA, Jerry Pickett and wife Judy, Clarkesville, GA; two daughters, Barbara Pellerito and husband Andy, Cleveland, GA, Irene Serna and husband Raul, Orange, CA; grandchildren, Lee Garner and Bruce Garner, both of Flowery Branch, GA, Stacy Whitfield, Bethlehem, GA, Valerie Lucero, Gainesville, GA, Sarah Pellerito, Gainesville; Andy Pellerito, Jr., Tustin, CA, Jamie Pickett, Tulsa, OK, Christi Spenser, Highland Ranch, CO, Billy Budd, Enid, OK, Christi Hubbard, Commerce, GA, James Hubbard, Commerce, GA, and Don Lewallan, Homer, GA; sisters, Marcella Hogan, Topeka, KS, and Lola Donigan, Greenleaf, KS; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
