Ada Fae Ditmars, the daughter of Pearl and Amelia Walter Stoffel, was born February 28 1933 at Clyde, Kansas. She died August 5, 2006 at the Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville, Kansas at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 7 days. She attended and graduated from high school. She was a certified nurses assistant. She was united in marriage to Ray Ditmars on September 14, 1952 at the Christian Church in Washington, Kansas. To this union three daughters were born. Ada Fae was a member of the Christian Church in Washington; a member of the Glad Hatters of the Red Hat Society; a member of Hearts and Things; a member of Garfield Helping Out Club; a member of Ash Creek Unit; a member of Calander Coterie. Ada Fae was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Amelia Stoffel; brothers, Oliver Stoffel, Junior Stoffel, Lawrence Stoffel, Lester Stoffel, Wilbur Stoffel, and Raymond Stoffel; sister, Adella Reese. She is survived by her husband Ray of Washington; 3 daughters, Gina Miller and husband Tony of Washington, Kristie Hiiva and husband Dave of Post Falls, Idaho and Melissa Ditmars of Washington, Kansas; brothers, Sidney Stoffel and wife Betty of Fallbrook, California, Eugene Stoffel and wife Lu of Mesa Arizona; Robert (Bob) Stoffel of Enterprise, Oregon; sisters, Edna Mae Elder and husband Melvin of LaGrande, Oregon and Javene Lobaugh and husband Charles of Portland, Oregon; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 9, 2006 at the Christian Church in Washington with Pastor Dennis Holst officiating. Interment was held at the Brethren Cemetery in Washingtion. A memorial has been established. Music for the service was provided by Martha Mosteller who was accompanied by Gina Miller. Honorary casket bearers were Malcom Stamm, Stan Stamm, Norman Stewart, Jim Menzies, Larry Ditmars and Chalmer Ditmars. Casket bearers were Anthony Stamm, John Ditmars, Mark Ditmars, Anthony Miller, Dave Hiiva and Kevin Keller. Services conducted by Ward Funeral Home.
