Bobby "Bob" G. Milks, 76, died February 15, 2010 at the Homestead Nursing Home in Washington, Kansas. A private burial was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Kimeo, Kansas. Services were held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greenleaf, Kansas. A Celebration of Life at the Greenleaf American Legion followed mass. Bob was born on January 21, 1934 to Sherman G. and Blanche E. (Ellis) Milks in Parsons, Kansas. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and then earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University. Bob's career in Electrical Engineering included work in the outdoor recreational, automotive, aerospace, and avionics industries. On August 11, 1962 he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Hogan at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Debbie le Roux and husband Marinus and their children, Becky Tincher and Martin le Roux of Washington, KS; his son, Dennis Milks and wife Becky, and their children, Ben and Hannah of Liberty, MO. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Maxine Dobyns, Lois Diediker and Nola Carter. A memorial fund has been established to Meadowlark Hospice and contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home of Washington, KS.
