Alma A. Boerger, 87, died June 26, 2006 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn. She was born at Linn on June 8, 1919 to Frederick and Emilie (Mueller) Boerger. Alma attended Zion Lutheran Grade School in Linn and was confirmed on April 9, 1933 at Zion Lutheran Church. Her interests include art, gardening, flowers, sewing and helping in making banners for her church. She was a life long memger of Zion ALutheran Church where she had been a member in Ladies Aid and LWML and also the Monday afternoon Bible Study. She was also a member of the Busy Hour Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dick and wife Helen, Ervin and wife Martha and Elmer; three sisters, Amanda Behrens and husband Milton, Ella Hatesohl and husband Herman and Viola Ohlde and husband Lawrence; three nephews, Melvin Behrens, Myrlin Hatesohl, and Richard Ohlde; and one niece, Ann Herrs. Alma is survived by one sister-in-law, Velma Boerger and by 14 nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, June 29, 2006 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Linn. Pastor Rodney Fritz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Casketbearers are Gary Hatesohl, Ron Ohlde, Karl Tiemeyer, Mark Tiemeyer, Mike Parker, Todd Parker, Eric Herrs, Kerry Winter, Robert Ohlde and Jeff Boerger. A memorial has been established to be designated at a later date. Ward Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
