Lynn "Toad" L. Hudson

Lynn L. "Toad" Hudson, 62, Greenleaf, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 13, at Ward Funeral Home in Greenleaf.  Father Joseph Kieffer will officiate.Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Kimeo.Toad was born July 2, 1954 at Smith Center, KS, to Bert and Betty (Eller) Hudson.  In 1972, he graduated from Stockton High School in Stockton, KS.  Toad started working at the age of 14 with a harvest crew and after high school went to work as a heavy equipment operator on road construction. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.For several years, Toad and a friend ran a bar together until the friends’ death.  In July 2015, Toad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and fought very hard until his death.Preceding him in death were his parents.He is survived by cousins and many friends.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
