Frances Rose Van Winkle

Frances Rose Van Winkle, 78, died March 23, 3006, at Hanover. Frances was born February 4, 1928 at Linn to Henry and Lottie (Rose) Oestreich. Frances married Marvin Van Winkle at the United Methodist Church in Linn, on May 4, 1947. To this union they were blessed with three sons and two daughters. She was a homemaker for her family and a member of the UMW. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Gary Van Winkle on February 1, 2006; and a brother Robert Oestreich. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Marvin, Washington; sons, Bob Van Winkle and wife Karen, Corning, Perry Van Winkle, Topeka: daughters, Wanda Leppla and husband Jim, Topeka, Rose Ballman and husband Don, Marysville; daughter in law, Rita Van Winkle, Linn; two sisters, Cecile Howe, Carlsbad, NM, Sophia Ellis, Lewiston, ID; and 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 27, 2006, 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church, Washington. Pastor Phil Morris will officiate. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Casket bearers are Lowell Herrs, Warren Buss, Warren Bledsoe, Howard Van Winkle, David Bledsoe and Dick Oestreich. A memorial fund has been established to be designated by the family at a later time. .
