Marvin Owen Polage

Marvin O. Polage, 82, of Washington, KS, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 20 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Andrew Lucas officiated. Sheila Ouellette played the organ whild Dr. James Smart sang. Burial was in the Washington City Cemetery. Marvin was born November 26, 1926 at Alexandria, NE, the son of Albert Fred and Anna F. (Fritchie) Polage. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Polage on January 29, 2002; sister, Delores Marschman; and step-daughter, Mary Cedillo. Survivors include one brother, Gale Polage and wife Marilyn of Fairmont, NE; one step-daughter, Connie Burke and husband Michael of Warner Robins, GA; and friend, Avalene Parrack of Washington, KS; several nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established to Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
