Cheryl D. Kinsey

Cheryl Kinsey, Linn, 72, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Washington County Hospital. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3 at Zion Lutheran Church, Linn. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 2 at the Ward Funeral Home in Linn. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Linn City Cemetery. Cheryl was born on May 28, 1943 to Edwin and Virginia (Foster) Bieker at Washington. She attended school at Linn and graduated Linn High School in 1961. In January of 1962, she married Ronald Oestreich at the United Methodist Church in Linn. They had five children, Traci, Erin, Gina, Marla and Ryan. They later divorced. Cheryl worked at Mom & Pops in Washington for many years and the Linn Community Nursing Home until she retired. Cheryl lived in Washington County her whole life. She enjoyed KU Basketball, NU Football and was a Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed being with family and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; and sister, Andrea Hill. Cheryl is survived by daughters, Traci Oestreich, Linn, Erin (Jeff) Oestreich Needham, Osawatomie, Gina Oestreich, Salina, Marla Oestreich, Topeka; son, Ryan (Kristin) Oestreich, Clifton; brothers, Randy (Sonya) Hiltgen, Palmer, Doug (Lynn) Hiltgen, Hanford, CA; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and the family will designate later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
