Norris M. Olson, the son of Ollie and Kamilla Andersen Olson, was born November 10, 1913 at rural Palmer, Kansas. He died January 30, 2006 at the Linn Community Nursing Home at Linn, Kansas. Norris attended school at Springcreek school. In 1933 he moved to Topeka, Kansas where he worked for W.O. Anderson Wholesale Produce until 1936. In 1936 he moved to Iowa where he was involved in farming. Norris returned to the Palmer area in 1938 where he was involved in farming. He entered the United States Army in 1942 and served in World War II until his honorable discharge in 1946. Upon his discharge he returned to Palmer where he was engaged in farming. Norris was a member of the Linn United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Palmer American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kermit Olson and Ollie Olson Jr.; one sister in infancy, Marie Sophia Olson. Norris is survived by cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Linn United Methodist Church with the Reverend Phil Morris officiating. Interment will be held at the Palmer City Cemetery. A memorial has been established. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Ward Funeral Home in LINN, KANSAS.
