Loretta J. Rogge Nutsch, 82, Linn, died January 23, 2015 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 27 at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends 4 to 5:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28 at Immanuel Lutheran Church west of Linn. The officiants will be Rev. Richard Rikli, Rev. Keith Kohlmeier and Rev. Randy Jellison-Knock. Barb Ruhnke will play the organ while the congregation sings “Just As I Am”, “I’m But a Stranger Here” and “In the Garden”. The pallbearers will be Justin Rogge, Adam Rogge, Grant Cook, Caleb Rogge, Sheldon Rogge, Mac Clasen, Jeff Beikmann and Lowell Kohlmeier. The posthumous honorary pallbearer is Jeremy Oelschlager. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Loretta was born August 2, 1932 at Palmer, KS to Edward and Paula (Mueller) Kohlmeier. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Linn High School. She received her Associates Degree from Concordia Teachers College, Seward, NE. She taught at St. John’s Lutheran School and Immanuel Lutheran School and was a farmwife. She also worked for the Linn American Legion, Washington County Courthouse, Moore Agency and in the dietary department at the Linn Community Nursing Home. Loretta was best known for her cake baking and decorating. She liked to solve word puzzles, crochet, embroider, and go bowling. Spending time with family and grandchildren and attending their events was especially important to her. She played the piano and sang in the church choir. She was a member of Red Hat Society, LWML and the Linn Legion Auxiliary. On August 30, 1953, Loretta was united in marriage to Olen Rogge at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Linn. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1992. On April 15, 1995 , she married Francis Nutsch at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delmer Kohlmeier; and grandson, Jeremy Oelschlager. Survivors include her children, Roy (Robin) Rogge, San Diego, CA, Michael (Debra) Rogge, Linn, Robert (Sheila) Rogge, St. George, Lori (Leland) Cook, Washington, Mary (Robbie) Oelschlager, Palmer; step-children, Nyla (Clyde) Poser, Buckley, WA, Donna (Gregory) Lamont, Pueblo, CO, Teri (Tom) Mader, Anchorage, AK; fifteen grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and five great-step-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated by the family later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
