Ruby R. Biegert

RUBY R. BIEGERT WASHINGTON - Ruby R. Biegert, 74, Washington, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. She was born on May 30, 1931 in Deshler, NE to Henry A. and Emma (Fintel) Bartels. Ruby worked as a nurse’s aid and in the laundry at the hospital. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. On July 8, 1949 she was united in marriage to Dale Biegert at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Greenleaf. To this union they were blessed with two daughters. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Bartels; and three brothers, Vernon, Milford, and Melvin Bartels. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dale; daughters, Jody Biegert, Salina and Drenna Tatro and husband Jeff, Concordia; and a brother, Clarence Bartels, Mattoon, IL. The funeral service was held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Washington. Rev. James Lohmeyer officiated. Burial was in the Washington City Cemetery. Casket bearers were, Steve Goldsberry, Mike Manning, Mike Uhlrich, Leland Cook, Gary Stone, Larry Ouellette, Doug Coleman and Bob Funke. A memorial fund was established to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to the Washington County Hospital. Ward Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
