Gladys L. Gagna

Gladys L. Gagna, 81, died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Onaga Community Hospital. Gladys was born May 18, 1924 at Concordia, KS to Earl and Mae (Young) Patterson. On April 3, 1944 she was united in marriage to Dean A. Gagna at Concordia, KS. Gladys was a homemaker, member for 39 years of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of Sacred Heart Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Dean, July 23, 1995; an infant son, Donald Dean Gagna; a sister, CoriAlice Ross; and a brother, LeRoy W. Patterson. Gladys is survived by two daughters, Janie Cottrell and husband, Charles, Onaga, KS and Betty Cyphers and husband Tom, Concordia, KS; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held, Monday January 16, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Greenleaf. Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Greenleaf. Casket bearers will be Joe Gagna, Francis Trahan Jr., James Trahan, Jay Gagna, Galen Nobert, Gerry Patterson, Richard Gagna and Tad Gagna. A memorial fund has been established in her name to be designated by the family at a later date.
