Bessie Ryser

Bessie Ryser, 90, Crete, NE, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Crete Manor. She was born on August 29, 1915 to George and Emma (Tuma) Cibolski at Wayne, KS. On September 30, 1936 Bessie was married to Leslie Ryser at Belleville, KS. She worked at Stigge’s Department Store until they closed and she was a homemaker. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant daughter. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Leslie, Crete; two daughters, Lila Mullen and husband Bud, Wilbur, NE, Carole Gutzman, Lincoln, NE; three sons, Howard and wife Kay, Grove, OK, Edd and wife Connie, Kansas City, MO, Jim and wife Vicki, Hanover, KS; two sisters, Louise Crockett and Ann Carnahan both of McKinney, TX; 6 grandsons, 7 grandaughters, 12 great granddaughters and 8 great grandsons. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Phil Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Hawks Cemetery, Cuba, KS. Casket bearers are her grandsons, Leslie Mullen, Damon Gutzmer, Todd Gutzmer, Shannon Ryser, Payton Ryser and Preston Ryser. Honorary casket bearers are her granddaughters, Debbie Holcomb, Cindy Mullen, Jody Mullen, Kory Mullen, Denise Gutzmer, Tania Ryser and Kim Ryser.
