Wilbur Emmett Colgrove, 92, Washington, died December 18, 2005, at the Homestead Nursing Home in Washington. He was born July 18, 1913, in Washington County, Kansas, the son of Charles and Lena Fischer Colgrove. On November 7, 1935, he married Mary Dodd at Throop, KS. She preceded him in death July 11, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents,; two brothers, Elmer and Ralph Colgrove; two sisters, Eva Mayberry and Edna Pauli; and a son-in-law, Marlin Brandt. On September 3, 1995 he married AlVera Wollenberg, She survives. He is also survived by daughters, Twila Brandt and husband, Eldon, Wichita, Dorothy Brandt, Wichita, Anita Bott and husband Raymond, Washington; a son Dwight and wife, Peggy, Washington; a step daughter, Gloria Bruna and husband, Dale, Hanover; a step son, Gale Wollenberg and wife, Betty, Topeka; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 11 am, Wednesday, December 21, at Morrowville Church of Christ. Burial in the Washington City Cemetery. Pastor Clayton Portenier will officiate. Pallbearers are his six grandsons, Mark Brandt, Michael Brandt, Luke Bott, Dondi Colgrove, Nicholas Colgrove and Steven Colgrove.
