Grace B. Dusin, 95, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington, KS. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 14, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hanover City Cemetery. Grace was born December 24, 1912, the daughter of Henry and Freda (Walker) Koch. On August 6, 1930, she married August Dusin at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover. Grace worked part time for Dusin’s Paint & Carpet in Washington. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Survivors include three sons, Gary Dusin and wife Nola, August Dusin, Jr., and wife Monica, and Bob Dusin and wife Carolyn, all of Washington; three daughters, Betty Rieth and husband Bernard, Linda Klozenbucher and husband John, all of Washington, and Grace Bruna and husband Mike of Hanover; one sister, Marie Krueger of Washington; two daughter-in-laws, Connie Dusin of Washington, and Orletha Dusin of Manhattan; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, August Dusin, Sr., on November 18, 1992; two sons, Bill and Edward Dusin; one daughter, Sharon Dusin; two brothers, Harold Koch and Fredrick “Fritz” Koch; three sisters, Gertrude Neuman, Margaret Jandera and Gladys Wilkinson; and one grandchild. A memorial fund has been established and designated to the church. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
