Dr. Lynn L. Walker, 87, died, Monday, July 7, 2008, at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Ireton City Cemetery, Ireton, Iowa. Dr. Walker was born at Ireton, Iowa, on June 1, 1921, to Phillip and Cora (Reigel) Walker. He attended Ireton schools and graduated in 1938. He attended Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa and then Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa where he graduated in 1942. Dr. Walker practiced Chiropractic in Texas, Blue Rapids and Waterville. He was united in marriage to Thelma Reid in Ireton on October 25, 1941. He was active in the Blue Rapids Presbyterian Church, taught Sunday school and was a former Boy Scout Leader. He also was a member of the Kansas Chiropractic Association and the Order of the Arrow. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tom in March of 2001; and one brother, Darwin. Dr. Walker is survived by his wife, Thelma, of Linn; one son, David and wife Carolyn, Topeka; one grandson, Jeff Walker and wife Lisa of Topeka; and one granddaughter Jill Hodson and husband Jerry of Wellington; and four great-grandsons, Reed, Kaden, Tyson and Trenton.
