Orvilla Brunmeier, 88, of Washington, died Monday, Nov. 28, at Homestead Nursing Home in Washington. She was born April 11, 1917 in Fairfax, S.D. She married Edwin Brunmeier on Sunday, Oct. 25, 1936 in Fairfax, S.D. Mrs. Brunmeier was a homemaker. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Survivors include three sons, Alan Brunmeier and wife Lois of Manhattan, Edwin Brunmeier and wife Elaine of Meriden, and Roger Brunmeier of Topeka; a daughter, Phyllis Buch and husband William of Topeka; two brothers, Vernon Krueger and wife Marge of Posquoson, Va., William Krueger and wife Irene of El Cajon, Calif.; two sisters, Darlene Geisler of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Adeline Klaus of Saint Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Brunmeier; her father, Fritz E. A. Krueger; her mother, Otellia (Herrmann) Krueger; four brothers, Otto, Elmer, Leonard, and Ernest Krueger; and a grandchild, Debbie Brunmeier. A visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Frey officiating. Burial will be in Washington City Cemetery in Washington. Casket bearers are Tim Duncan, Jeff Lewis, Gary Creamer, Dustin Brunmeier, Steve Kearney, Randy Workman and Todd Brunmeier. A memorial fund has been established in her name to be designated by the family at a later date. Ward Funeral Home of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
