Jase Edward Gepner, infant son of Eric and Heather Gepner, Washington, KS, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m., Thursday, October 24, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Washington. Fr. David Metz officiated. Sheila Ouellette was organist and Christy L'Ecuyer, cantor,led the congregation singing "How Great Thou Art", "Give Thanks and Remember" and "Celtic Song of Farewell." The music "See You Again" and "One More Day" was played. Burial was in the Washington City Cemetery. Chuck Votipka and Quentin Ouellette were pallbearers. Survivors include his parents; siblings, Konner and Macie; grandparents, Larry and Diane Ouellette, Washington, and Roger and Alice Wilcoxson, Clay Center, KS; aunts and uncles, Tammy (Lance) Hoenie, Spring, TX, Robin (Scott) Sawin, Washington, Denise (Dick) Powell, Washington, Donna Ping, Topeka, Nicole Helms, Washington, Fallon (Chuck) Votipka, Washington, and Quentin (Rebecca) Ouellette, St. George, KS; and fourteen cousins. His grandfather, Kenneth Gepner, preceded him in death. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
