Wilma Trumble, 94, of Linn, KS, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 14, at Zion Lutheran Church, Linn. Pastor David Gruoner officiated. Eunice Beier was organist and the congregation sang "For Me to Live is Jesus", "Let Us Ever Walk With Jesus" and Savior, Again To Thy Dear Name We Raise." The pallbearers were Christian Newell, Cody Newell, Brandon Beikmann, Jacob Trumble, Jared Trumble, Joshua Trumble and Joseph Trumble. The honorary pallbearers were Larry Roetter, Larry Scheele, Bryan Sloan, Kevin Knitter and Doug Brown. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Linn. Wilma was born June 8, 1919 near Palmer, KS, to William and Nora (Debrick) Roetter. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Palmer. The family later moved to Linn and she attended Zion Lutheran School and was confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church. Wilma graduated from Linn High School. She attended Cloud County Community College and became a licensed nursing assistant. She worked as a CNA, RNA, and did home health care. She served a four year term on the Executive Board of the Washington County Extension Committee and taught Sunday school class for eighteen years. On June 2, 1940, she was united in marriage to Edward Trumble at Zion Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter; sisters, Flora Natalie, Ruby Bennett; and brother-in-law, Charles Natalie. Survivors include her son, Denny Trumble, Palmer; daughter, Janyth Radley, Linn; brother-in-law, Sherman Bennett, Lansing, MI; five grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, twenty great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
