Edward L. Klozenbucher, 78, Greenleaf, died Saturday, September 28 at his home. A funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Greenleaf. Fr. David Metz officiated. Gina Miller was organist and the choir sang "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", "On Eagles Wings" and "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross." Burial was in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Richard and Judy Wenzl, Larry and Sandra Wenzl and Gary and Missy Wenzl. Edward was born to William and Velda (Wisner) Klozenbucher on December 18, 1934 at Kimeo Township, Kansas. He graduated high school and farmed. Ed worked at the Herkimer Coop and was a board member of the area Coops. Ed served in the U.S. Army in the late 50’s. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, playing ball and being with family. On November 28, 1986, Ed was united in marriage to Rosemary Fiegener Wenzl. She survives. He is also survived by stepsons, Roy (Sheryl) Wenzl, Wichita, Gary (Missy) Wenzl, Wichita, Larry (Sandra) Wenzl, Marysville, Thomas (Carol) Wenzl, Canyon City, CO, Richard (Judy) Wenzl, Almena, KS; brother, Duane (Pat) Klozenbucher, Greenleaf; sister, Clara Mortensen, Manhattan; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother-in-law. A memorial fund has been established to Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
