Edna Muriel Perkins

Washington – Edna Muriel Perkins, 90, died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn. Edna was born in Washington on March 18, 1915 to Charles and Mamie (Hanshaw) Bennett. She spent her lifetime in the Washington Community working as an administrative assistant at the hospital. Edna married Fred E Perkins on September 25, 1941 at the Pleasant View Church, Washington. He preceded her in death April 9, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Olin R. Bennett; and a sister, Fern Hagans. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Myers and husband Jim, DeBary, FL and Trudy Rieth and husband Arnold, Washington; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Edna was held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005 at 1:30 pm at the United Methodist Church, Washington. Pastor Phil Morris and Pastor Darel Boston officiated. Burial was in the Washington City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Travis Rieth, Troy Jensen, Matthew Sandburg, Mike Newman, Trent Backer, Mike Sandburg, Austin Hamilton and Kevin Hamilton.
