Roberta N. Folsom

Roberta N. Folsom, 69, died February 19, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Morrowville Christian Church. Roberta was born December 26, 1938, at Stockton, Kansas, the daughter of Charley and Mary N. (Palmer) Sanders. She married Vernon Elmer Folsom in 1957 at Wichita, KS. They moved to Manhattan and she worked for Wal-Mart and K-Mart. In 1993 they were forced to leave their home due to flooding, they then moved to Washington. She worked various types of jobs and enjoyed helping her family. Roberta loved to play bingo and go to the casino. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon, on July 5, 2001; one brother, Robert Sanders; one sister, Roseanna M. Weaver; and one grandson, David Busby II. Survivors include two daughters, Jeroldean Busby and husband David, and Cindy Hayman, all of Washington, Kan.; three sons, Robert Griffin and wife Crystal, Manhattan, Kan., Vernon Folsom, Jr., Waterville, Kan., and Joe Folsom and wife Cindy, Hutchinson, Kan.; three brothers, Donald Bauman and wife Debbie, Pawnee City, Neb., Marion Sanders and wife Cindy, Red Cloud, Neb., and Charles Sanders, Manhattan, Kan.; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
