Clara Bokelman

Linn, KS – Clara M. Bokelman, age 93 of Linn, died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the Linn Community Nursing Home. She was born July 29, 1911 at Greenleaf, KS, the daughter of Fred H. and Louise M. (Nuttleman) Lohmeyer. Clara was united in marriage to Henry Bokelman on August 22, 1933 at Linn, KS. This union was blessed with three children: Jerald, Dennis and LaDonna. Henry preceded her in death in January 1962. Clara was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Linn, LWML, Busy Hour Club and was a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. N She also enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, quilting and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jerald; one daughter LaDonna Rahe; son-in-law, Robert Rahe. She is survived by one son, Dennis Bokelman and wife Marcellene of Linn, KS; one daughter-in-law, Evelyn Bokelman of Washington, KS; one brother, Norman Lohmeyer and wife Norine of Maysville, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Nora Bokelman of Tullahoma, TN; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Linn, KS with Rev. David Gruoner officiating. Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Linn. Casket bearers were; Scott Bokelman, Brent Bokelman, Marc Bokelman, Jay Bokelman, Greg Rahe, Jeff McCullough, Ray Dean Knox and Chris Billings.
