Robert “Bob” Talbot, 75, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at his residence in Greenleaf. A funeral service was held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Greenleaf. Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall officiated. A rosary service was held at 10:00 a.m., at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bob was born on January 29, 1932 at Greenleaf, to LeRoy and Matilda (Wurtz) Talbot. He served in the US Army and lived in California for 45 years. Bob worked for Alco Aluminum as a parts inspector and in quality control. After retiring he returned to Greenleaf. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #235 of Greenleaf. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy and a brother LeRoy. Bob is survived by his mother, Matilda Talbot, Greenleaf; brothers, Leon Talbot, Greenleaf, Jerry Talbot and wife Wanda, Endicott, NE, James Talbot and wife Marguerite, Sedalia, MO, and Raymond and wife Sheri, Wichita, KS; sisters, Yvonne Talbot, Linn, KS, Marilyn Brungardt and husband Alvin, Washington, KS, Kathleen Wilkes and husband William, Altus, OK, Laura Asp and husband Robert, Iowa Park, TX, and Margaret Talbot, University, MS.
